Creative lead for Square’s Food & Beverage vertical. Set creative vision and approach for restaurant GTM campaigns across digital, social, OOH, print, CTV, experiential, and partnerships including full-page New York Times ads, Square’s presence at the largest U.S. restaurant convention, and collaborations with TILIT’s The Build podcast and Cherry Bombe Magazine.
At the heart of the work was telling the stories of restaurant owners and how Square helps power and grow the businesses they’ve built.
Design Lead for brand campaigns at The New York Times at a moment when journalism—and truth itself—were under scrutiny. I worked on campaigns across digital, social, print, out-of-home, and landing pages for the core NYT Brand as well as flagship columns, podcasts, and expanding media properties—including The Weekly, Modern Love, and the DealBook conference—helping extend the reach of Times journalism across TV, audio, and live experiences.
The campaigns highlighted the rigorous, essential work of Times journalists, reinforcing the value of independent journalism and driving new subscriptions.
Design Director at R/GA, leading end-to-end creative across branding, campaign concepting, and visual direction. Partnered closely with strategists, UX designers, copywriters, and developers to turn ideas into cohesive, launch-ready experiences across brand systems and social campaigns.
Led design from concept through execution while mentoring designers and shaping the visual standard of the work. Clients included Capital One, Samsung, Teach For America, Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner., Texas Beef Council, Verizon, Corona Extra, and Pacifico.
During the 2016 United States presidential election, I worked on the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton—an opportunity to use design to make real civic impact. As Design Lead for digital advertising and video, I created hundreds of ads amplifying her message, mobilizing voters to register, and inspiring people to join the campaign.
In close collaboration with the video team, we built a cohesive visual system for motion, typography, illustration, and end-cards across social content. Our social videos generated over 1 billion views and helped energize voters nationwide.
I’m a Creative Director shaping brand experiences across design, culture, and technology. I care about making work that lasts, and I like being close to it, not just setting the vision but building it too.
At Square, I was a Creative Lead for the Food and Beverage vertical, telling the stories of restaurant owners and the businesses they’ve built. The work spanned campaigns across channels, from national ads to experiential and partnerships.
Before that, I spent nearly five years at The New York Times, working on brand campaigns like "The Truth Campaign", "The 1619 Project", and "Black History Continued". Earlier in my career, I worked on the Hillary for America campaign and was a Design Director at R/GA.
I’m also a teacher and mentor at heart. I’ve taught typography at NYU and supported emerging designers through AIGA. Hearing from former students and how they’re using design to shape the world means everything to me.
I studied at the Kansas City Art Institute, Yale SOM, and RISD.
Outside of work, I spend time with my family, playing board games, going to the library, and picking out books with my son, Henry.
